A disgraced California elementary school teacher was sentenced to more than two centuries in prison last Friday after authorities unravelled the decades-long sexual abuse he committed against many of his own students.
Kim Kenneth Wilson, 64, served as the head of the audio-visual club at Del Paso Heights Elementary School for 23 years before he was axed when the stomach-turning abuse was revealed.
Wilson wound up curating a mountain of evidence against himself, including sick photographs and videos he captured of himself committing sex acts on his female students, often as young as 6 or 7 years old.
Thanks to his position as AV club head, he was flush with resources — including a soundproof broadcasting room where he would assault his victims, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities also learned that the teacher abused more children at his home during private events. It’s unclear if these additional victims were related to the school.
While searching Wilson’s home in 2023, detectives with the Sacramento Police Department uncovered heaps of child-sized sex toys alongside VHS and DVDs with videos of the vile teacher sexually assaulting the children, according to the DA’s office.
The collection spanned over multiple years with a variety of different victims, all listed between the ages of 6 and 12 years old.
The creep pleaded guilty in February to several counts of child sexual abuse in connection with the videos.
He originally faced a staggering 36 counts in connection with lewd and lascivious acts on children under 14. Some charges, though, were dismissed in order to spare the victims from having to testify in court.

I’d say the only reason they sentenced him to that long a term is because it’s impossible to explain how such abuse could go on for over 2 decades with nobody getting a clue.....
If society gets lucky the guy will never reach the age of 65 in prison, or anywhere else!

It is asinine. However, states have different parole eligibility yrs. E.g., one can be paroled after 1/3 of their sentence...or maybe 25yrs on life...etc.
What caught my attention was “215 to life’! Reminds me of that coin commercial, “All coins come in Briiliant Uncirculated to Fine condition”. Like Fine is the higher grade. Geez.

Mindboggling... This went on for years and none of these children, nor the parents of these children suspected anything.
That is very difficult to fathom.
Other teachers had to know of this guy. That’s another avenue for investigation.

California Elementary schools now have lavishly equipped audio-visual facilies? Did this guy teach general classes (Reading, arithmetic ... Critical Theory, labor-gender dialectics...) or just operate the kiddie porn lab as his paid job?
No child complained about this for 24 years? What sort of Principal didn’t notice this was happening?
