Does it make any difference if it is retribution?

The Democrats and many Republicans are crying foul over the raid on John Bolton, former National Security Advisor to Donald Trump during his first term. They say that these actions are retribution for the nasty things that Bolton has said; that he included classified information in his book; and that he is being punished for alienating President Trump:

Federal investigators went to Bolton’s house in Bethesda, Md., at 7 a.m. in an investigation ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel, a Trump administration official told The Post. Agents later went to Bolton’s office in downtown DC, but did not enter until a judge signed a warrant for that location late Friday morning.

‘NO ONE is above the law… @FBI agents on mission,’ Patel said in a cryptic post to X shortly after the raid began.

Although people are pointing to Bolton’s use of classified information for his book, the reasons identified for the raid are speculation. Another suggestion was made for the probe:

Investigators reopened a dormant probe into Bolton’s alleged use of a private email to send classified national security documents to his wife and daughter from his work desk before his dismissal by Trump in September 2019, according to a senior US official.

‘While Bolton was a national security adviser, he was literally stealing classified information, utilizing his family as a cutout,’ this person charged.

The probe was initially opened in 2020, and continued into the Biden administration, which froze the investigation.

People are prepared to criticize Trump for almost anything, but I think, so far, they are barking up the wrong tree. There is much speculation for the raid on Bolton’s home and office, but the facts are not available. It is true that both men disliked each other -- hated, might be a more accurate term

I also heard that Bolton was recently making trips to Qatar and that an intel source there might have tipped off the Trump administration about what he was doing.

Americans don’t want to hear about “retribution” after what the commie far left has done to the Trump family, their friends, their neighbors and their associates. Retribution would be too good for those bass turds.

Bolton is a means to the end.

The question is how much does he really know.

How many of the “retribution” crybabies have sunk their own money into America the way the Trump family and Elon Musk have sunk into it. I can’t think of one DemonRAT that has ever done anything good to make America a better place. Not one! All the money they’ve stolen while in office has gone into their psychedelic golden parachute for when they can no longer milk the taxpayers. “Public service my @**.”

don't be surprised when attention is paid.

No it doesn’t make any difference but it sure does make it satisfying as hell.

I hope it isn’t retribution when there are bigger fish to fry...Or would it be better to start with the smaller ones and save the whales for last?

No.

Retribution: punishment inflicted on someone as vengeance for a wrong or criminal act.

They quite literally have it coming.

The ‘retribution’ SHOULD have started under Bush Jr., but instead all we got was a “New Tone”. So the f-heads in DC took that as a green light to do whatever suited them...and things got to this level.

So, perhaps Bush Jr. was the IDIOT that the Democrats claimed, after all.

Do unto others.
Turnabout is fair play.

Retribution, like discrimination, has a proper use.

Trump seems to be winning in the courts. I think that is due to his commitment to act within the law. I’m sure there are enough good reasons to go after Bolton and many others.

That I enjoy watching the process is another matter. I can see it as retribution and like what I see.

Yep, to these jagoffs, public service means that the public is supposed to serve them.

You get exactly that impression just driving by their palatial estates in places like Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Alexandria, just to name a few examples.

The implication is prosecution where it wouldn’t have happened except for personal hatred.

This is of course a double lie:

1. The crimes committed are egregious on their own and don’t need the impetus of revenge to be prosecuted; and

2. The people and crimes were themselves the result of political oppression which the guilty wish to project onto the victims.

Additionally, the pattern has been that these rats escalate every time their prior crimes go unpunished, to it’s vital to everyone that justice happen now.

It’s similar to the whole gerrymandering kerfuffle.

The Dems are really, really upset that for the first time in modern history Republicans are employing the same tactics they do.
