“I find it a little odd you have to be near death to visit heaven.”

Very profound insight. It is a true statement. It’s the reason you must “die daily” to connect with Heaven. In Buddhism they call it achieving “No-Self.”

Your ego self bubble of consciousness must burst before you can perceive beyond self.

A friend of mine, a cardiologist in the Netherlands found his patients telling him of experiences out of body after heart surgery. He did a large study, interviewing patients who were resuscitated after heart surgery and found that approximately 18% of the patients had such memory recall.

His research was so good it was published in the medical journal Lancet back in 2001.

I’ve had several hospice patients whose deceased pets came and greeted them as they were dying.

All dogs though, no cats. Maybe cats don’t go to Heaven. 😁

Problem is that the anesthesiologists give Versed or Midazolam along with the anesthesia. It blocks memory recall of events during surgery.

I made the mistake of telling the anesthesiologist about my previous two experiences of waking up on the operating table and then not wanting to return to my body after surgery. (They had to put me back on the ventilator after surgery for 5 more hours while I visited Heaven again about a year ago during lung removal surgery.)

I’m still recovering from surgery last week. Three days after surgery I stepped out on my deck to call my two dogs that I have had for five years, and I couldn’t remember their names. I checked, and they gave me Versed during surgery and in older people it wears off much slower. Memory is back now.

I’ve studied NDE’s for over thirty years and know personally many Dr’s who had them and wrote about them.

The International Association of Near Death Studies (IANDS) is the largest organization. They hold annual conferences, in fact their annual conference is next weekend. I’ve attended many of them.

Yes, their are many people who fake them for the publicity.

My first NDE was in 1988, and I returned with very unusual abilities. I can tell if a person has had a real NDE as I perceive the stored memory of their experience in their soul.

Good Morning,
I was thinking about You the other day after sharing My NDE with someone. We met on FR I think it was a little bit over a year ago. The experience was definitely Life changing and I am still trying to figure out/ better understand it all.

My NDE:

I was in the hospital for a leg problem when the right side of My abdomen started hurting went down for an MRI and it was really hurting bad. On that stupid 0-10 pain scale it was like a 8 maybe a 9. Came back up from the MRI to my room and we were getting ready to move from the gurney to the bed and all sudden my pain level went to a 50 it was the worst pain I’ve ever had to feel, it was like somebody stuck a red hot K-Bar knife in My right abdomen and was twisting it and we made a u-turn and went right back down and while we in the elevator my nurse just happen to have my pain meds and she hit me up with it on the way downstairs in the elevator to where we’d just done the MRI as it was also a Multi table operating room. There is a Surgeon that was already gowned up and everything and the Anesthesiologist and they said we’re gonna take care of you and the Anesthesiologist said so here we go then it was lights out.

Then comes the weird part suddenly in my mind I am floating up in the ceiling looking down from there with operating table with My Body on it and there’s several doctors standing around discussing organ donations and I start screaming from up above I’m alive !!!

I was put in ICU and I was in and out of semiconscious. I realized I was in restraints and Intubated. Then I went out again.

The next time I came to I was in a large room with Monitors and stuff, My abdomen was bandaged from My waist to the middle of My chest and I was hurting allover, I had an IV and Cardiac Monitor attached to Me. There was a big couch, TV, a bathroom and the door to a hallway on My right side. I had no idea where I was then I started to remember bits and pieces of things. I was still trying to remember what happened and figure out where I was.

After a while a Male Nurse came in and saw I was awake and I said I was hurting badly all over and He said “I’ve got some pain meds here for You.” He did an IV Push and almost immediately I felt the pain decreasing. I asked where I was and He told Me that I was in the Downtown Novant Hospital, then I remembered that I had been in the Huntersville Novant Hospital and the last thing I knew I was going into Surgery there. He said that I had been in an Induced Coma for two and a half weeks because I had thrashed around after the surgery and ripped My stitches out and they had to go back in and fix that a week after that 1st Surgery. I went into the Hospital on December 17, 2015 IIRC and My Gut Explosion happened on December 25th. I was in the Hospital for almost a month.

Then when I got out of the Hospital I spent a month in a nursing home and went through some rehab learning to walk again.

I spent over a year recovering from that ordeal. It felt like someone had driven a Bobcat through my body.

If I had not been in the Hospital when the rupture occurred I would be dead

People seem to see what they want to see.

Maybe God presents Heaven to people way. That's why it's called Heaven.

If you loved Classical music and died and went to Heaven, but all they played up there was Rap or Banjo music, then it wouldn't be very heavenly.

NDE accounts may not be heaven itself but more like a scenic overlook on the way—an intermediate experience this side of eternity.

Just because someone is briefly out of the body doesn’t mean they’ve reached the final destination. The peace and light they describe could be a threshold glimpse or even a deception.

I was looking at an off grid farmhouse a few years back. There were 5 bedrooms on the second floor all with locks on the outside of the door.

I’ve “seen” two of my cats after they died. One jumped on the bed. The other time I got up to get something out of the fridge. Fiona was sitting on the bottom step of the stairs — her favorite place.

I’m a cat lover, and your cartoon is hilarious!

I grew up with dogs, I have loved both, and cried when when any of them died. What- no DEI in the Pet World, lol.

Agreed!
But don’t use logic around here. It’s just not welcome.

“Do you remember what life and existence were like before you were born? That’s what death is.”

Exactly!!

Christian Heaven is the original Plausible Deniability. You have to die to prove it but you can never tell anyone!!

Sounds more like extortion to me.

[you have to be near death to visit heaven.]

The Sid Roth Show has accounts of people going to heaven all the time. It is a beautiful place.

Start stating what was said accurately. Seriously, get it right and don’t just make up what was said.

While (as others have already posted) that reduced oxygen level causes halucinations, people do dream regardless of physical condition.

And God gives revelations to individuals, HOWEVER, a revelation FROM God will NOT contradict his word.

The apostle Paul speaks of the receiving of revelations, and how he couldn’t say whether they were in the body or out of the body. He never mentioned death (or near death). (2 Cor. 12:1-7)

I’ve had some pretty remarkable dreams, sometimes in just a 15 minute power nap (this truck driver’s drugless secret to safe driving when accomplishing one of those 800 to 1,000 mile days).

Did the doc that made the study interview a few thousand people that had never had heart surgery, to see what percentage has had heavenly dreams? I wouldn’t be surprised if it is a similar percentage.

It really is amazing how consistent the stores are, isn’t it? No one ever dies, sees Mohammad, Dali Lama, or some other supposed religious figure, just Jesus.

At least, none I’ve ever read about.
