Caitlin Clark, the standout guard for the Indiana Fever, has become one of the most electrifying talents in the WNBA. Her scoring prowess, playmaking ability, and leadership have not only helped elevate the Fever but also brought unprecedented attention to the league.
However, the 2025 season has been anything but smooth for Clark, whose ongoing injury issues and the team's internal struggles are raising serious questions about her future in professional basketball.
Clark's season has been plagued by multiple injuries. She first suffered a right groin injury on July 15, which kept her off the court for more than a month. During a solo training session on August 7, she sustained a bone bruise on her left ankle, further complicating her recovery.
The Fever have yet to provide a clear timeline for her return, leaving fans anxious about her availability for the playoff push.
Is Caitlin Clark coming back?
Popular WNBA content creator Rachel DeMita has weighed in bluntly on Clark's situation and fears she may not be back this season - or perhaps at all.
"I don't think Caitlin Clark is coming back," DeMita said, blunt and unfiltered. "And honestly, that's the thought on everyone's mind right now."
DeMita's candid assessment reflects the unease surrounding Clark's recovery and the Fever's handling of the situation. While head coach Stephanie White remains more measured, stating: "The hope is that she's back."
Either way, fans are growing impatient, with many expressing frustration online and a sense that they have "had enough" of the uncertainty.

If she secluded herself in Florida or Arizona and worked on refining her game, I could see her on the LPGA tour in a year or two.
Meanwhile, there’s Damar Hamlin...
And the incredible lack of curiosity about his recent health and playing histories...
Caitlin Clark’s salary with the Fever is $78,600 per year...
She’s married. To a man. Maybe she’s pregnant or wants to start a family?
Caitlin Clark makes more than 5 times her salary in endorsements...
...per Google AI
She would probably do as well if not better coaching college basketball...

Yep...I got that also...
Her season-by-season payout is a slightly different story, as Clark was paid $76,535 in 2024 and is scheduled to earn $78,066 this current season. Clark’s base pay increases to $85,873 in 2026 and concludes at $97,582 in 2027 during a final club option season of her contract.

This is just clickbait. It’s not going to happen.
If Caitlyn Clark quits the WNBA it would be an admission that she can’t cut it against top competition.
She’s pushed, kicked, clocked in the head and shoved so often…white and straight is no way to go thru life honey in the WNBA apparently.
If she was smart, she would play in the European women’s basketball league. With salary and endorsements, she would likely make more and not have to put up with all the racist drama.
The WNBA season is very short. Many players play in Europe or Russia during the offseason to make more money.
She can in Europe, without the racism.
Mystery injury? She might have gotten cockeyed from one of the dildo tossers.
100% bunk. People making up stuff, that know nothing about Caitlyn Clark. The media loves to make up scurrilous rumors.
“... She’d never make the money she can in pro basketball doing anything else...”
One way might be to sue. Find the meanest plaintiff’s lawyer and sue the WNBA, its sponsor the NBA, anybody with deep pockets. It’s the American way.
Clark makes her money from endorsements, The WNBA pays bupkus but she needs them for visibility. Her problem is if she plays in Europe, she loses visibility here and her endorsement value declines dramatically.
