That woman has no clue as to what she should be doing.
Well if it wasn’t relevant before it certainly isn’t relevant now. I and my family won’t be going back anytime soon.
Probably was already loosing money. Will probably go out of business at an accelerated pace. The so called make over will send a dying brand into an earlier grave.
She could be correct, because the customers are probably aging out. However, the solution is not to eliminate the heritage of the company but to offer new things in the style of what made Cracker Barrel famous, down home cooking.
I really don’t care if Cracker Barrel is creating a new image. The food is the main thing and if that is not all there, then forget it.
I ate there last month. For the first time in over 5 years. It’ll be another 5 years before I eat there again. The food is mediocre.
Chain restaurants generally suck.

Didn’t they float the idea a couple years ago to paint the rocking chairs out front rainbow colors?
And got major pushback so they nixed it
The demographic that eats there are mostly elderly white people who aren’t into the Woke crap
So that’s what happened to Taco Bell! She was the CEO! No wonder I never go there any more.
One - they had a brand of soda from a company called Stewart's. They still have the root beer - which I still like - but they used to have an orange cream soda which were great. Shortly after reopening during the scandemic, they got rid of all the Stewart's sodas except for the root beer.
Two - the rocking chairs. In certain areas, they had specialty rocking chairs - emblems of the local colleges. In Annapolis, they had a Naval Academy chair. After the scandemic, those special rocking chairs disappeared. Now, jut plain rocking chairs. Three - the service and wait staff has gone donw the drain. Especially when you pay. One cash register open and a long line.
It will probably be what some Freepers have stated - these and other changes will push the brand into an early grave.
NEVER HIRE A WOMAN TO BE IN CHARGE OF ANY COMPANY! EVER
she doesn’t think the brand is relevant because it’s a restaurant founded in conservative thought.
a brand which looks favorably on the American past.
which is why she’s destroying it.
liberals detest America and it’s past.
If Cracker Barrel were to honestly portray their new corporate values, the logo would consist of Tampon Timmy, dressed as the Land O Lakes Indian, being bent over the barrel by Hunter Biden.
In some niche markets it would be Big Mike and Hellary making Bathhouse Barry airtight over the barrel.
Anytime a company does something outrageously woke or comes up with a novel way of screwing customers, do a Google search on who their top investors are. One name always shows up on top : Blackrock. Vivek Ramaswamy wrote a book about it (Woke Inc. )
“We want to get rid of the fratty boy image” in so many words.
Anyway, maybe an endorsement by a rising young country music star would help. You know, Beyonce.
The CEO said “the company ‘has lost some of its shine’”
That’s what people loved about it; it never HAD “shine”.
We were warned about these new-and-not-improved changes last year, so shouldn’t be surprised.
After enjoying CB for many years, I ate at one two years ago and noticed the food was NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS IT USED TO BE.
Lousy food is the downfall of Cracker Barrel.
As far as drop in revenues, everyone is hurting and prices rising to the point that retirees on a fixed income like me are almost unable to eat out.
I meet a few guys for lunch every Wednesday and I used to spend a max of $15 for a burger and a beer. Now it's at least $20. Heck, a BLT is now $12
