Oklahoma will test teachers from New York and California to guard against ‘radical leftist ideology’

Oklahoma will require applicants for teacher jobs coming from California and New York to pass an exam that the Republican-dominated state’s top education official says is designed to safeguard against “radical leftist ideology,” but which opponents decry as a “MAGA loyalty test.”

Ryan Walters, Oklahoma’s public schools superintendent, said Monday that any teacher coming from the two blue states will be required to pass an assessment exam administered by PragerU, an Oklahoma-based conservative nonprofit, before getting a state certification.

“As long as I am superintendent, Oklahoma classrooms will be safeguarded from the radical leftist ideology fostered in places like California and New York,” Walters said in a statement.

Any teacher who wants to spread radical ideology is probably smart enough to lie on the test. The better solution is to make it easier to fire teachers if they are caught spewing ideology in class.

That would be true if they weren't so thoroughly conditioned as to rely upon exclusively leftist information sources. We as conservatives are inundated with enough leftist crap to anticipate what they would want to hear. The converse is not true. Do not expect reciprocal awareness from leftists. Most don't know how to fake it.

I’d put cameras in the classroom that any parents can access during class day.

With the possibility of 60 parents watching class at any point in time, it would keep the ideology down.

It's almost like you need a polygraph test, and not only test for signs of deception, but also put in some triggers.

Not necessarily. These people often have such a twisted view of reality that what they think normal people want to hear can be completely nonsensical. They’ll answer the way they think us backward, bigoted, guns & religion people would and get it completely wrong.

Good. Kids there won’t have to spend precious education time on “gender issues” and how men dressed up as women are “real women” - or worry about having to use a “gender neutral” bathroom.

These are several reasons why home schooling has exploded in enrollment over the past few years.

This is why parents need to keep an eagle eye on what is being taught, what the kids’ assignments are, what is being said in class by the teacher, check out the textbooks and required reading lists.

Also keep an eye on your local school board - these bastards unfortunately have a lot of power - but can be recalled and/or voted out.
