I was very lucky to see Oscar Peterson at the London House in Chicago many years ago when Chicago was a safe city.
Also saw an unknown singer named Barbra Streisand at The London House, a small nightclub there. My date, who I’d seen Peterson with, said he’d never seen me so taken with a singer.

I too saw the trio play at the London House several times. Ray Brown gave me an autographed 8x10 glossy which to this day hangs on my wall.
Lucky you! The London House must have been a jazz Mecca in its day. Peterson had two live albums recorded at London House. I was In Chicago recently and searched to see if the London House was still there. It's right along the river on Wacker Drive, in the Loop. It's part of a hotel now.
