was very lucky to see Oscar Peterson at the London House in Chicago many years ago

Lucky you! The London House must have been a jazz Mecca in its day. Peterson had two live albums recorded at London House. I was In Chicago recently and searched to see if the London House was still there. It's right along the river on Wacker Drive, in the Loop. It's part of a hotel now.

Good to know. Good music still pllayed there?

How is Chicago doing? I grew up in Hinsdale, a western suburb, moved to Evanston when my kids were very young, great town then with wonderful grade school right across the street from our house. . A block from Lake Michigan where little kids could play in the water. Dog liked it too.

We went to the Art Museum on Michigan Ave and Museum of Science and Industry further south . Not sure about that one now , as it was a rather lousy neighborhood even in the ‘60s.
