Expect Joe Scarborough & Co. to soon return to their regularly scheduled programming of trashing President Trump.
But at least in this moment, the show has struck a very different tone on the issue of Trump's moves to use federal agents to bolster crime-fighting in DC.
On today's show, Susan Page of USA Today was the first to suggest that Trump has set a "trap" for Democrats. Oppose Trump's crime-fighting efforts at their peril. As Page mordantly put it: "There are very few politicians who want to stand up for crime."
Joe Scarborough ran with that, repeatedly referring to Trump's trap. Scarborough argued that Dems are making a huge mistake by trying to counter Trump by citing supposed statistics showing a decrease in DC crime. He cited a recent Washington Post poll indicating that 91% of DC residents see crime as a problem, with 51% saying it is an extremely serious problem. Moreover, it is in particular black and low-income residents who are most concerned about crime.

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
He should know, about crime in D.C.
See what you did there.
For Joe to have convictions or no convictions has nothing to do with integrity and holding to a stance.
Purely about getting away with something.
Why is it that Joe and his equally insane wife have not been fired as yet? Oh right, MSNBC is attached at the hip to MSM.
That will end up the same way that Don Lemon telling the guy on the boardwalk that statistics said the economy was fine went.

The democrats that are against anything Trump is for, and for anything he’s against are royally screwed. Things will not go well for them.
They already are going quite badly, actually.
Grok ……
Based on available data regarding violent crime rates in major U.S. cities with populations over 100,000, the current mayors of some of the most violent cities as of August 14, 2025, are:
• Memphis, TN: Paul Young (Black Democrat)
• St. Louis, MO: Tishaura Jones (Black Democrat)
• Baltimore, MD: Brandon Scott (Black Democrat)
• Detroit, MI: Mike Duggan (Democrat)
• New Orleans, LA: LaToya Cantrell (Black Democrat)
These cities have been identified in various sources as having high violent crime rates, including homicide, based on recent FBI data and other crime reports. Note that rankings and specific crime statistics can vary depending on the source and time frame, and the list may not be exhaustive or definitive due to differences in reporting and data collection methods.
Okay, but that’s not their fault. Only due to “gun violence.” Those evil guns that pick themselves up and spontaneously shoot people! :-)
“There are very few politicians who want to stand up for crime.”
that’s a lie right there: Democrats uniformly and loudly oppose illegal alien criminals being deported ... [though following their “America Last” philosophy, the Dems support citizen criminals slightly less than foreign ones ...]
‘As Page mordantly put it: “There are very few politicians who want to stand up for crime.” ‘
Almost all politicians stand up for crime every day by failing to what is required to stop it: apprehend, try, and incarcerate criminals surely and rapidly.
Politicians don’t have the guts to raise and spend the necessary revenue to enforce the law. So long as they can get away with it, politicians will pander to thieves, thugs, dope sellers, and their extended networks, and let the public be treated as prey. Time for this game to change.
Worst case, Trump has to pull back in 30 days, crime goes back up and then, having seen the difference, everyone will be clamoring for reform.
Chuck U. Schumer may be short a few teeth and nails.
I was just going to post the same thing.
I can only guess because the low rating these two mooks get are better than none at all.
Every time I see that moron’s face he looks all the world like that “Where’s Waldo?’’ character.
Go away.
Expect Joe Scarborough = President Joe Bidem
