I remember sending op-eds to a hundred different newspapers around the country during Bush v. Gore - all using dial-up.

My first was EarthLink...in the Atlanta area. They had a national presence for a while until they got bought out.

I remember now. My first ISP/dial-up was MindSpring in the Atlanta area, not Earthlink like I first said.
