Supposedly the movie he wanted to be in was "From Here To Eternity," and the "Jack Woltz" character was an amalgamation of Harry Cohn (who ran Columbia Pictures, which made "Eternity") and Louis B. Meyer (whose hobby was breeding racehorses).
There was also an episode between Sinatra and bandleader Tommy Dorsey which is alleged to have involved serious Mob muscle being applied to Dorsey on Sonatra's behalf.
I always thought the camera captured one of the security guards keeping folks off the set...
There are many articles, such as this, I immediately guess to be written by AI. The article, almost word for word repeats, but still doesn’t give the reader information. Just when I think something revealing will be stated, there is nothing. Welcome to the AI.
From the book Wolz was a scum bag pedophile. He thought he was untouchable. The police officer in uniform just signifies that he had bought off everyone in town.
Yet...
The Godfather is able to breach every layer of protection as if it didn't exist.
While the logistics of how this was pulled off would be interesting I don't know why people would wonder so much about it.
My only question in the Godfather is “what the hell did Brando just say.” I could not understand him with all the crap in his mouth.
Well, Vito isn’t exactly a saint.
Yeah, but if you witnessed what Vito did as a little boy, it’s not hard to understand why he became what he was.
ive tried Part 3 at least 10 times...the movie is a train wreck. Weird part is, the same people that produced and directed the first 2 masterpices also did he Third movie....puzzling.
I had a hard time buying into that being Michael even though it was Pacino playing him, he seemed like a completely different person. Yes I know people do change, but not that much.
Some folks have too much time on their hands.
I was surprised to learn it WASN'T A PROP.
I’m pretty sure I figured that sub plot out at 14 years old when I saw the movie at a pre-release party.
“Vito seems to disdain Michael’s war experience, so maybe Sonny does too.”
No, Fredo tells Michael they were all proud of his service, including Vito. No reason to think Frodo’s lying here.
Frau Blucher!
*neigh*
oh man...everything from casting to costumes. “Connie” looked like a cross between Draculas wife and Lilly Munster. Diane Keatons hair looked a some type of birds nest. Pacinos “spiked” hair was just weird. And yes...they totally changed Michaels “personna”. But when they had the “Mafia hit” by helicopter, i thought “ok, now were totally into Bruce Willis action movie territory”. A total, top to bottom flop.
It’s why you shouldn’t let women learn how to drive.
Yes, but a perverted one.
