"Putin will stop killing people if you get energy down another $10 a barrel. He's going to have no choice because his economy stinks," the president told CNBC's "Squawk Box." on Tuesday.

How does Trump know it stinks?

He just fired the US BLS commissioner for issuing ridiculously fake labor statistics.

They’re not the ones measuring the Russian economy for us, are they?

Stinks is not a technical economic term it’s an emotional term. Trump is painting a picture

US debt to GDP- 125 percent….Russia debt to GDP, about 17 percent. A child with a calculator can see how this ends.

The US is the teenager with a credit card.

“Russia debt to GDP, about 17 percent”

About 21%, and rising!

“A child with a calculator can see how this ends.”

Yep!
Revenues down
Expenses up
Reserves gone
21% interest rates

Trump’s 100% correct again. Biden’s war on oil made Putin’s war possible.

War is the extension of politics. Economics are just another tool to be employed, preferably prior to armed conflict.

We’ll have to pump out more oil and then make it cheaper than the Russian oil so we can sell to India and China. But the catch is that their oil is cheaper (US oil is shale).

The elephant in the room that everyone somehow ignores is that Russia so far got a trillion dollars more natural resources from territory it acquired so far. Of course it’s sitting in the ground and getting it out is a very different story, but Russia isn’t in quite the economic disaster some people are so sure of

That’s why blackrock is screaming spending millions to keep the war going, cause they bought titles of that very cheap recently and don’t want it all to go up in smoke forever. It’s not random that a bunch of senators want to flush hundreds of billions on the Ukraine black hole, while simultaneously not giving one damn if hundreds of thousands more Ukrainian men die or lose their limbs. It’s all that blackrock lobbying money coming in like a tidal wave

Russia’s 4.3% growth rate last year was better than any year we’ve had this century with exception of 2021, when our economy grew an unnaturally high rate after being restrained by the Covid pandemic in 2020.
