To: Red Badger

I often asked girls out in High School 1962-1964 and was always turned down. Never had a date till 19 years of age. I graduated at 17 years of age.
I figured it was because it was a backwoods Ozark school that dad dragged us to in 1956 where all the kids were kin to everyone else by blood or marriage. We were considered outsiders as we were from 1000 mile away.
Found a great girl in Tulsa OK in 1971. 49 of the best years of my life.

I grew up in a very small Southern town. Everybody knew everybody else and their cousins.

Outsiders were looked upon with suspicion. It’s a normal reaction for small townsfolk, regardless of locale...............
