Women who want “attention” want attention. They do not want a man. They want an ego boost and free drinks. No reward.
The risk is no longer getting shot down. The risk is getting photographed, put on social media, lied and exaggerated about, losing your job and having your life destroyed. Risk very high.
I once had a girl who liked me that I didn’t know existed spread horrid rumors about me when I was blissfully unware of her existence and had basically zero interaction with her. The rumors followed me for years, lately pre-social media.
Made me wisely gun-shy to the point I follow the Pence rule (his only good idea) and never have solo interaction with women I do not implicitly trust.
