I know plenty about you from what you proudly splay all over this forum and which you have subjected us to for years.

But you show your ignorance.
The Hollywood concept of ‘romance’ is simply the culmination in our time of an ideal that began in the Middle Ages. It’s part of a centuries-long Western effort to transmute the crude human nature into something suitable for civilization and for the good of children and progress.
Sometimes it has experienced setbacks; but it has always moved forward again.
