Well wasn’t that “tolerant” of Adam Sandler. It should be “Rich Schneider continued working with Adam Sandler despite his Leftard views.”
Thanks for the “feel good” story of the day. <3
Happy Gilmore2 you!!!................
I agree with your overall premise, but after watching the video I have respect for Sandler’s sense of friendship and loyalty in such a screwed up industry.
Adam Sandler is, or at least was, a registered Republican, having performed at the 2004 Republican National Convention and donated $2,100 to Rudy Giuliani’s 2008 presidential campaign.
He’s apparently a moderate, which probably makes him a radical conservative in Hollyweird.
My wife just responded that Sandler performed at the 2004 RNC.
The title is misleading implying that Adam is a liberal. He’s been a registered Republican since I can remember. Actually now most of the SNL cast from the late 80s early 90s became conservative: Dennis Miller, Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, and Victoria Jackson, and Adam Sandler.
Adam grew up in the north end of Manchester.
That is the nice part of the city with large Victorian houses.
His parents still live there. He comes back to visit and typically is in various pictures posted by fans on the internet.

Its a sad statement that this is viewed as magnanimous on Sandler’s part. Unless Schneider was spouting off about politics on the job, who cares what his political views are? But that’s the world we live in.
Thanks.
The leftist blacklist in Hollywood is real, and it dwarfs anything ever seen on the other side, including back in the good old days of HUAC and the Hollywood Ten. It’s probably not as bad as what happens in our modern universities, but it’s perhaps close.
There are a handful of open conservatives in the industry. There are substantially more who keep their heads down and their mouths shut.
And then there are those who refuse to kowtow to the blacklisting, who will hire people for their talent without an ideological litmus test, and who will stand by people being smeared. Always glad to get another sighting.
The bigger the studio or parent company, the greater the risk. That’s one of the reasons that the consolidation of the industry under the streamers’ junta is so poisonous. Very large companies are inviting targets for the activist types. And the larger the company, the more execs up the chain there will be to interfere. Actors, who are almost all short term gig workers, are especially vulnerable. All it takes is one person to nix someone getting a role, and the reasons given are likely to be a cover story.
I remember that even back in the day, Chris Farley, RIP, was Republican-friendly. The House GOP hosted him at some event where he dressed up as Newt Gingrich.
And Dana Carvey pretty much played it down the middle, was friendly with George Bush, who he played on SNL.
“People who work together can get along without talking politics!”
Film at 11.
People like Sandler can be quite tolerant when making $20M.
From the Elle King Wikipedia article. Elle is his daughter who had a hit song a couple of years ago:
In August 2024, King discussed her childhood and her relationship with her father Rob Schneider on an episode of Bunnie Xo’s podcast Dumb Blonde. She described her relationship with Schneider as an “ebb and flow” and that currently, the two were “not flowing.” On growing up with Schneider, she said she would stay summers with him on film sets but that the two rarely spent time together as he was working and that she refused to spend any more summers with him after he decided to send her to weight loss camp. She also mentioned that Schneider would often forget her birthday and that she did not agree with his recent comments about women, transgender people, and vaccines.[49][50] Schneider later issued a public apology to her during an interview with Tucker Carlson, saying he loved her and that he hoped she could forgive him for his shortcomings as a father.[51] In response, King said that her father apologizing on Carlson’s show is “like a double negative... means nothing”.[52]
Indeed.
You'd think so, but that was in them old-fashioned days. "Modern" Leftist "culture" doesn't not care one bit about profits. "Go Woke, Go Broke" has been the theme for nearly a decade now, and many organizations and famous individuals are STILL eagerly showing off their skills at absolutely tanking an otherwise healthy corporate bottom line, all in the name of Virtue Signaling.
What a charmer!
