US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, will visit Moscow on Sunday to try for a breakthrough in negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker.
Trump has also announced that Witkoff will travel to Russia, although he gave no specific timeline. The special envoy has previously met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on several occasions during past diplomatic efforts.

Russia wouldn’t be wasting their time with Witkoff unless something is going on behind the scenes, and like you say, it’s a good thing.
A lost cause.
Kellogg one time, Whitkoff the next, and then there are the back door negotiations. At least the old Neocon Kellogg seems to have been sidelined.
He reminded me of another inept fool, remember what happened to Trump’s Rex Tillerson?
I would worry about a false flag operation to kill him and blame on Russia. Or, the Russians to actually do it and blame it on Ukraine. Either way, I would be careful about the timing of a visit.
