Can’t believe I left out the two DUNE movies. That makes my Baker’s Dozen.

I’d put Lord of the Rings up there if it weren’t for the liberties taken and putting the weight of The Hobbitses around its neck.

The books were good enough and had more than enough material to make the LOTR movies follow the books MUCH more closely.

I’ve been reading them since 10th grade, (1971) and the deviation from the books pretty much ruined it for me.

However, they did portray gollum just like I imagined.

I agree these were great movies:

- Black Hawk Down
- Lord of the Rings films

My first thought was this movie, and I see the NR article mentions it:

- War of the Worlds (with Tom Cruise)

Cruise’s “Mission Impossible” films should be on the list, too.

I also agree with NR about “A.I. Artificial Intelligence.”

I would add:

- Catch Me If You Can

And plenty of other good films not on the list.
