Policing is a unique profession. Among other things, they must be more careful about always behaving in a professional manner. And too often they don’t.
Here’s what I mean. A person who had a couple of bad experiences with plumbers probably won’t mistrust and dislike all plumbers. But a person who had a couple of bad experiences with cops probably will mistrust and dislike all cops.
And that ain’t good for society.
That’a no reason to condemn all police, as some here do.

Good plumbers don’t defend bad ones, particularly if a different plumbing company.
Cops seem to always defend all their ‘brothers’.
