FBI Investigating Death on Carnival Cruise Ship with Multiple Agencies

An investigation is underway after a death on the Carnival Dream cruise ship based out of Galveston, Texas, according to reports.

At around 4:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday, July 23, passengers woke up to the sounds of sirens alerting them to an incident on board the ship as it was traveling to Costa Maya, Belize, KHOU and the Houston Chronicle reported.

One passenger reported hearing an announcement saying that medical assistance was needed on the Serenity Deck, according to the outlets

They have a brig on cruise ships. A buddy of mine got to spend part of his cruise in it after a guy walked up and sucker punched him. Probably not a good idea to sucker punch a martial arts master.

My wife and I have been on several Carnival cruises lately and are going on another soon, and we have we have never had a problem. All of our cruises are more than six days, and usually ten or twelve. This seems to weed out many of those who simply want to get drunk and party. My biggest complaint is all the huge people with mobility scooters blocking the passageways. They really are a nuisance, but it could be worse, and I suppose they are entitled to their vacation.

Another thing I have noticed is that no matter how large the ship, or how crowded it may be, there is always a deck where you can be alone and watch the waves, if that's what you want.
