Personally, I could care less about the race of the bad guy or good guy in these stories. No race has a monopoly on sin or virtue.
But I’m puzzled…Where are the usual losers on threads like this, who ask for Yogi when a crime is committed?
Maybe they’re hiding in Mom’s basement instead of typing, because the armed bystander is black.

Because, as you're implying, FreeRepublic has an actual racism problem that the mods can't quite keep up with. In fact, it's gotten noticeably worse over the last couple years.
I've seen an unpleasant number of posts invoking 'coons' and 'n*gros' for any friggin crime, regardless of the actual race of the perpetrator.
But hey, take solace friend, we'll get zotted together, I guess.
And for anyone who wants to strawman my views, let me make them completely, 100% specific:
I believe in judging individuals, individually.
And I believe that people should be judged not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
I'm not blind to the fact, yes fact, that the a very disproportionate number of violent crimes in this country are committed by blacks. But I consider that a (solvable) cultural problem, and one which the tide has already turned as blacks flock to Trump and conservatism. It's not an inherent racial issue. I know plenty of black people to whome I would entrust my life, and plenty of whites to whom I would not entrust the care of a dormant reptile.
