Heroic shoppers forced a man to drop his weapon after he stabbed 11 people inside a Walmart in Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
The extraordinary moment four men confronted the deranged suspect in the parking lot of the Traverse City supermarket was caught on camera.
During the urgency of the situation, one of the brave men lost his shoes and was walking barefoot as he ordered the knife-wielding man to drop his weapon.
'Get on the ground!" one of the men could be heard shouting.
'Drop the knife! Drop it!' another bellowed.
'Throw the knife that way! Throw it away!' the barefoot man continued to yell.
Eleven people were stabbed during the bloody incident - with police saying that it appeared to be a random attack.
Around 4:45pm, a 42-year-old man entered the store and used a folding knife to stab people, the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office said.

The four guys sound like LEOs.
Maybe off duty.
Regardless, THANK GOD for people stepping up and dealing with the situation. Sure it’s risky, but letting him continue until the police showed up would have made it a far worse tragedy.
I suspect people are just getting sick to death of criminals running rampant on the streets, terrorizing the rest of us, while LE sits on its thumbs and waits until the guy is safely gone to show up.
And I wouldn’t have seen anything.
Priceless!
Regards,
Can they define “random attack”?
The equivalent term used by German police to explain crazed Middle Eastern men plowing their vehicles into Christmas markets and the like is "Einzelfall" ("isolated incident").
They thus claim that there is no discernible trend - a baldfaced lie.
Regards,
Walmarts in michigan do not carry rifles or shotguns.
“Canned goods is the place to be...?”
That would be my advice for the unarmed...
Get 4 or 5 people in the canned goods section and start raining cans down on that mf’s head.
I have relatives that live up that way & there is a drug problem there.
They used to. That’s where my dad bought our first .22. A Marlin model 60 in stainless.
“Around 4:45pm, a 42-year-old man entered the store and used a folding knife to stab people, the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office said.”
The reporter is telling us, in newspeak, that he’s not white.
I hate the media.
Bet they have baseball bats.
Much more fun then taking them out with a gun or thrown object.
Funny, me too.
Accurate to about one quarter minute of illegal alien at Tueller Drill distance.
Headline broken.
“Bold moment of courage as ARMED CITIZEN confronts and STOPS attacker in Michigan Walmart after he stabbed 11. Only in America.”
There, I fixed it for those subservient, statist UK tools.
I wish we had a Rural King nearby. Love that store.
I once impulse bought a Ruger 10/22 in stainless/synthetic at a Wal-Mart. But yeah, they don’t carry firearms beyond pellet guns any more, at least around here.
Now, they do carry compound bows . . .
That’s not going to happen in a Walmart. A sporting goods store, maybe. Walmart, never.
More of satan’s fr’kn animals running loose in the country!
Below the fold the article mentions that the guy telling the attacker to "get on the ground" and "drop the knife" was pointing a gun at him. He didn't immediately comply. I think the gun holder showed remarkable self-restraint in not ventilating the knife wielder after the initial non-compliance.
Of course no name for the attacker, and the cops say this was a "random act."
I saw video of the takedown. Some brave men there. Loved that the guy with the gun was black. Such difficulty for however the media tries to spin this.
They KNOW he’s 42, but they don’t know his NAME or RACE??????
