That’s not going to happen in a Walmart. A sporting goods store, maybe. Walmart, never.
” A sporting goods store, maybe. Walmart, never.”
Some Walmart stores still sell guns, specifically long guns like hunting rifles and shotguns. However, they have significantly reduced their gun and ammunition offerings in recent years, stopping the sale of handguns (except in Alaska), certain rifles like the AR-15, and some types of ammunition related to military type weapons.
Guns are sold in approximately half of Walmart’s U.S. Supercenters, primarily in rural areas where hunting and sport shooting are popular. But it’s the location and popularity of hunting that dictates their sales from Bentonville. And even those have forced the sale of guns and ammo to 21 years of age.
