Hulk Hogan, WWE legend, dead at 71

Hulk Hogan, one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all-time who helped make WWE a juggernaut, died on Thursday, WWE confirmed.

A “cardiac arrest” call was placed and medics were sent to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Fla, according to TMZ.

He was stretchered into an ambulance.

WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.” WWE wrote on X. “One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”

He was 71.

He was obviously in poor health for at least the last 10 years. Much more fit than the average 71 year old man, but even after all those fitness routines, his complexion was blotchy, raccoon eye sockets, always the glassy stare.

Always, the tacky, greasy looking headscarf. I kept waiting for him to realize we (his former fans) did not care if his head was as bald as a baby’s bum. Most men know about hair loss. You are not Ulysses, it’s only hair.
