It’s the fixation of Washington. Now Democrats from coast to coast are plotting how to capitalize on the Jeffrey Epstein saga.

An ongoing furor around the government’s investigation of the disgraced financier has done more than fracture President Donald Trump’s base. It has also injected a volatile new element into midterm elections and created an opening for Democrats scrambling to exploit any perceived Republican weakness as they work to retake the House.

Once largely confined to the Beltway and to the more conspiratorial corners of the internet, the Epstein affair has already shown surprising staying power by tapping into pervasive distrust of those in power. Democrats are hoping it will help them portray the Republicans controlling Washington as corrupt and insulated from consequences.

Epstein is not working for Democrats because they sat on the Epstein files for 4 years and never released it, so why complain about it not being released now?

The rumors have gained traction. Points fueling these rumors:

Statements from a former U.S. Attorney: Alexander Acosta, the former US Attorney who handled Epstein’s plea deal in 2008, reportedly told the Trump transition team that Epstein “belonged to intelligence” and was “above his pay grade”. Acosta later denied these reports.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has categorically denied the claims: He stated with 100% certainty that the accusation of Epstein working for Israel or Mossad is “categorically and totally false”.

Considering Bennett was PM in 2021-2022 and Epstein died in 2019, how would he even know?

Alan Dershowitz, Epstein’s former lawyer, stated that there were no connections to Mossad: He emphasized that if there had been any such connections, he would have known, as it would have been helpful in negotiating a better deal for Epstein.

The naive US Justice Department’s stance? “A memo from the Justice Department stated that no credible evidence was found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions, nor did they uncover evidence to predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.

This story isn’t going away. On the contrary is just keeps getting bigger the more they try to ignore it. Dems will be willing to throw Clinton under the bus if it means this will help take down Trump and the Republicans. Mike Johnson adjourning the House before they can vote on it isn’t fooling nobody. Everybody is thinking it must be something big if they are working so hard to keep it under wraps.

The Trump administration has an Epstein file detailing 4,725 wire transfers and almost $1.1 billion flowing through just one of his banks. Hundreds of millions more through others.

The Oregon senator’s three-year-long investigation revealed a SAR on Epstein submitted in 2019 by JPMorgan for $1.1 billion, the Times reported.

The report included a total of 4,700 transactions dating back more than a decade, including payments to women from Belarus, Russia and Turkmenistan.

Wyden’s team found documents showing the next largest was by Deutsche Bank for about $400 million, followed by Bank of New York Mellon for $378 million and then Bank of America.

Eight of Epstein’s victims alleged that JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank knew that Epstein and his powerful friends were abusing underage girls, and those banks shelled out millions of dollars to make their lawsuit go away…

Some of Epstein’s victims shared the same sentiments.

In 2023, they signed a $290 million settlement with JPMorgan and $75 million with Deutsche Bank after alleging the banks disregarded early signs of potential sex trafficking, according to the Times.

Those victims must have had a very strong case to get those banks to agree to such massive settlements. Why isn’t the government interested in talking to those victims?
