Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Prince of Darkness and one of heavy metal’s most iconic stars, has died. He was 76.
He died “surrounded by love,” his family said in a statement to The Post Tuesday. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”
News of Osbourne’s death comes more than five years after he announced his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in January 2020.

Grew up on his music. Fantastic entertainer. Not a role model but if you succeed in the music industry for many years you are not a slouch. Still remember the Great American Rock festival in Michigan in 1984. Great times and great memories! I don’t know if you tell Ozzy to rest in peace or rot in hell ... I’m sure he sold his soul do whichever side of the equation he wanted to end up in with.
RIP Ozzy
A good long run for a Rocker with his previous lifestyle.
Ozzy Osbourne was still alive????
Dude, your thread is number four. If you would have held out for five, you would have received a Prince of Darkness cape and a bat.
“ I’m sure he sold his soul do whichever side of the equation he wanted to end up in with.”
Not sure what you mean, but despite his rocker persona, he attended church (Anglican) regularly, confessed Christ, studied the Bible, and freely admitting praying regularly.
No clue if a priest attended his death, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
I thought the “Prince of Darkness” was Lucas Electronics.
My time as a hearty partier seems insignificant compared to Ozzy’s, and yet he managed to live well past 70. RIP.
Ozzy partied hard forever and died at 76.
Richard Simmons was all about exercise and eating right. He died at 76.
Party on.
The booze and drug hard-partying lifestyle is one thing, but I think for most of the musical artists, the “satanic” and “Prince of darkness” stuff is just stagecraft and cosplay.
Here’s a link to a funny Ozzy Osbourne anecdote from Donnie Osmond. He does a great impression of the Late Great Prince of Darkness at the 2004 Pollstar Concert Industry Awards.

RIP OZZY
Agreed
.
Alice Cooper really comes Clean.
Richard Simmons was also gay.
Even removing AIDS from the equation, men who have sex with men die an average 7 years or more earlier from all cause mortality. That’s worse than smoking.
Note the science showing this is actively suppressed so you have to hunt it down.
Longevity depends a lot on a person’s genes.
My dad smoked 2 packs a day for decades and drank heavily into his late 40s, had high cholesterol, hypertension and heart disease, with a 4 way bypass along the way.
I never touched cigarettes ever, and low and behold, I have high cholesterol, hypertension and heart disease, with a Stent in 2016.
Jerry Rivers interviewed Ozzy and Jerry once again FAILED!
