Stephen Colbert called himself a 'martyr' before firing off a crude message to Donald Trump, warning 'the gloves are off' after the president gloated over The Late Show’s cancellation.
The comedian's decade-long run as the host of CBS' late night flagship will end next May, with network insiders suggesting the top-rated show was canceled because it was losing anywhere from $40 to $100million per year.

The guy has months to cut expenses and boost his ratings.
If he takes a salary cut his show might then make a tidy profit. I could live quite well on $2 million a year.

1. His contract runs through May 2026 and they did not want to pay out early,
2. It's going to take that long to find something even worse to replace his show with,
3. This is just a wake-up call and they are hoping he can turn it around.
Keep in mind that the advertising rate for a commercial would have to triple in order to break even on an entertainment show.
This POS thinks he can hurl the most vile slurs against Trump, but, oh man, if Trump responds in any way, well, the gloves are coming off. Colbert has already lost this fight, and he probably will be gone much earlier than originally assigned.
