When you are accused, criticized, or attacked, what is your first instinct? To defend yourself. To explain your intentions. To set the record straight. But Niccolò Machiavelli, the master strategist of power, would tell you this is a fatal error. Every word you spend on defense is a word that solidifies your position as the weak one, the one on trial. You are playing their game, on their terms, and you have already lost. In this brutally effective video, “NEVER Defend Yourself - Machiavelli’s Trick to Flip the Power Instantly,” we break down one of the most potent psychological tactics for seizing control in any confrontation. Inspired by the timeless wisdom of The Prince, we reveal why defending yourself bleeds your power and legitimizes the attack. The true master of power does not stoop to explain; they reframe, they deflect, they attack the attacker's premise, or, most powerfully, they use strategic silence and contempt to shatter their opponent's confidence. This isn't about being passive; it's about refusing to be the defendant in a court you didn't create. Learn the specific techniques to instantly flip the power dynamic, forcing your accuser onto the defensive and making them regret their attack. This is the art of turning a shield into a sword. If you are tired of being put on the back foot in arguments, negotiations, or social conflicts, this video will arm you with a mindset that is both liberating and ruthlessly effective. Understand the game, and you will never feel the need to defend your position again. Thank you for watching. Trump does not study Machiavelli for process, or anything
Does anyone here read any of Trump””’s books
I don’t know what he studies, but he uses this technique, because I see him in action, and this is how he does.
I have read How to Get Rich and listened to an audio of Art of the Deal. Mostly, though, I’ve just watched him over the years.
This video appeared on my YouTube sidebar the other day and I watched it. Yup, Trump immediately came to mind.
Except Trump is constantly defensive to almost every attack, even from relatively insignificant people. He could try a little more of that “strategic silence” approach at times.
“if you have taken ‘a vow of poverty’, renounced control, and take your delight in things for themselves without reference to yourself, watching, observing, and to some extent knowing, then the question of the rights and wrongs of power and control might become utterly meaningless to you, and the means of power quite valueless.”
— J. R. R. Tolkien
Excellent video
“might become utterly meaningless to you”
That quote is utterly meaningless.
He’s gotten way better this time around. In his first term, you would be right.
Power becomes very meaningful to you when the Kossacks ride rough shod through your town, cut down your grandfather and rape your wife. So much for the simple things.
“Almost exactly how Trump deals with his adversaries, and it’s brilliant.”
LOL! my very first thought as well!

🤫 Don't tell the religious Establishments' vast apologetics industry of perpetual rowing. The galley slaves would lose all sense of meaning and direction. It's a symbiotic relationship between master and servant. Egypt has its perks, like security in conformity. Don't rock the boat, we're all in this together.
This is the art of turning a shield into a sword:
מגן דוד: "from the garden of David"
AI Overview
Many plants have leaves that resemble swords, with long, pointed, and relatively stiff foliage. Some popular examples include the snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata), yucca, and Dracaena. The specific appearance and characteristics can vary between different species and varieties within these genera.
Yes he drives their blood pressuer up fast and their face looks like a pinched nerve.
Joseph Goebbels saw this early on when the British took the tactic in their propaganda to separate the German people from Naziism. He determined to be silent and allow the approach to die for lack of any response.
Comment on the video: “Yeah, right.”
Machiavelli now we’re on to Goebbels
Can we dial it back to Sun Tsu , New York business acumen and Wharton School of Finance?
Or is this strictly a Trump bash post
“Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary moment — that which they cannot anticipate.” ~Sun Tzu
Who’s “bashing” Trump? Macchiavelli was onto something good. Goebbels was into using it for evil. Sun Tzu and Musashi had other insights. Trump is using Macchiavelli for something good, defeating the forces of evil through Macchiavellian dynamics.
