Maybe they did. I don’t know. Ralph Nader used to say the same thing about it. Besides, do you honestly think Congress would do something about it? They are probably bankrolled by the manufacturer.

Odd. I’ve drunk Diet Coke for 5 decades with no discernable ill effects. Had I consumed the same quantity of sugared coke, I’d be diabetic and obese!

Possibly not. The artificial sweeteners are up to 6x more sweet chemically (effect on your brain) than sugar, making you crave more sweet items. You can lull yourself into complacency about an artificially sweetened comestible being somehow "safe" to eat, meanwhile craving many of our prepared foods that you wouldn't suspect that contain sweeteners—like bottled salad dressing, ketchup or other condiments, Italian food with tomato sauce, specialty whole-grain breads, etc.

It's better for you mentally to drink a sugared cola knowing that it is "bad" for you, which will urge you to develop the mental discipline to limit the number you drink and phase in healthier drinks, like water, water with a squeeze of lemon and no sugar, water with a splash of additive-free apple cider, herbal teas hot or cold, coconut water, aloe water, mineral water, a limited amount of daily coffee (black), etc.

You may have used too much.

What I grow has no bitterness.

It just lacks the syrupy body that sugar gives.

Read the ingredients. That’s why I grow it. No additives.

OMG, the reviews for Haribo SF Gummi Bears on Amazon are pretty gruesome. I still remember the poor guy who was offered a handful of those gummies as he was waiting for a job interview and in the middle of the interview had an explosive situation. He said in the comment that the incident had resulted in horrible job anxiety for years afterwards resulting in needing therapy, because he didn't realize it was the gummy bears that caused it. Whoever that horrible admin person was who gave him the gummy bears... shame on her.

My diabetic uncle pulled a similar prank on me with his SF chocolate covered cherries. It was awful. He found it endlessly hilarious. Gawd, I thought my intestines were going to explode.

Is there a list of foods that contain erythritol?

You can buy “Mexican Coke” at many stores, including Costco. It is made with cane sugar only, bottled in Mexico.

I only use the organic liquid Stevia. The liquids are pure Stevia with no erythritol.

“The artificial sweeteners are up to 6x more sweet chemically (effect on your brain) than sugar, making you crave more sweet items.”

From the perspective of 45-50 years of actual experience? No. It simply does not work that way.

BTW - I drink a lot of coffee too. Have for decades and doing fine. Went Keto in 2018 because MY problem - having been a very fat kid - was yo-yo, government approved LOW FAT diets. When I switched to high fat, low carb, the weight came off and stayed off without cravings.

No cravings, but ample artificial sweeteners, Diet Coke and coffee - with milk. Still worked great.

I checked all the drinks I use that stevia. Just three.

The 2 simply list “Stevia” only one listed “Stevia Leaf”

I then googled the 2 drinks that listed “Stevia” asking if the drink contains Eryhritol.

SURPRISINGLY IT YES THEY DO

I googled the third that listed “Stevia Leaf” It said no Eryhritol.

So the moral of the story is that if The can simply lists “Stevia” it probably contains Eryhritol.

And you can verify by googling the product.

If it lists that it is the leaf or raw then it’s the real thing.

Incidentally, the Eryhritol drinks are sweeter to taste.

So just reading the label on the can tells you nothing

I am allergic to everything but saccharine, the pink stuff. My mother drank tea with saccharine her whole life and didn’t have cancer.

Thanks... that sounds like the product label is deceptive.

“Eating out and eating prepared foods from the so-called grocers will most definitely kill you.

Quick, easy and deadly.”

I did lots of contract work where most of meals were “prepared”.

“prepared”

As in out of a can, or as in a chow line?
