Why doesn't the pilot land and kick them off the flight then ban them from flying?
Why not? That is what would happen to anyone else causing trouble on a flight. Then maybe parents would start being parents.
I remember a flight from Paris to JFK with a small child kicking the back of my seat all the way.

All children under the age of 16 should fly as checked baggage.
His grievance is with the parent(s) not the rug rat.
I haven’t flown in 12 years.....looks like I haven’t missed anything.
“Can we get children under 12 banned from business class…please??’
Sure he raises valid objections. Increasingly parents seem afraid to discipline their children. Not just airplanes but everywhere.
1st world problems. :-)
Exactly.
You would rather have the flight land and be delayed for that long?
Duct tape.....the Red Green solution. In this case multiple rolls.
At least we can walk out of a restaurant.
Our society is already anti-child enough, I am not going to contribute to it.
It’s a shame we have some very bad parents today.
“Why doesn’t the pilot land and kick them off the flight...”
Well, in this case it was a transatlantic flight, but I get your point.
We taught our kids how to behave in public at a young age and made sure they had SOMETHING to do while waiting. The consequences of acting up were not going out any more. And they liked going out.
It kept them peaceful and well behaved.
The simple truth is that modern Americans are horrible parents.
Raise pathetic kids.

Truthfully, you buy your seat. What happens in other seats is not really anybody’s business. But in this world of entitlement, this is where we are. I thought at first he was standing on the complainers seat.
I’ve told more than a few parents “Just because you have learned to tune the little bastard out doesn’t mean the rest of us have.” Gotten some dirty go to hell looks but so far no fights.
Yes. His complaints are fair.
I have been fortunate not to travel by airline for many years and not to work for a living for nearly a decade now. Before that I traveled around 250 days per year and did not see a fraction of the mayhem people report now; not in the terminals or on the airplanes.
Only once in my many years and millions of flight miles was I party to a very unacceptable situation involving parents and children. It was on a Christmas flight from Lagos to Frankfort. The parents had managed to get past the gate, probably managed by a friend, with two very large children they claimed were “lap babies”. The flight crew was not having it and told them to deplane, they refused and raised a ruckus. Security would not get them off, also probably friends. The pilot would not take off unless they were deplaned. Eventually, other passengers raised such a fuss the parents and their “lap babies” left the airplane. It took about an hour and a half to get them off.
I felt lucky to get a flight on short notice and the family was not expecting me so I flew home to an empty house the family having gone to be with the rest of the family for Christmas.

Something like this happened to me 40plus years ago. My oldest son who was around 4 started to “pitch a Fit” in Walmart. I got down and was Eye to Eye to to him and threaten to spank him in front of everyone if he didn’t ‘knock it off!. That was it! He shut up and behaved after that.
