Why doesn't the pilot land and kick them off the flight then ban them from flying?
Why not? That is what would happen to anyone else causing trouble on a flight. Then maybe parents would start being parents.
I remember a flight from Paris to JFK with a small child kicking the back of my seat all the way.

All children under the age of 16 should fly as checked baggage.
His grievance is with the parent(s) not the rug rat.
I haven’t flown in 12 years.....looks like I haven’t missed anything.
“Can we get children under 12 banned from business class…please??’
Sure he raises valid objections. Increasingly parents seem afraid to discipline their children. Not just airplanes but everywhere.
1st world problems. :-)
Exactly.
My wife and I often lament that we didn’t develop and market a line of kid sized straight jackets.....we either would have been millionaires....or in jail. 😏
You would rather have the flight land and be delayed for that long?
Duct tape.....the Red Green solution. In this case multiple rolls.
At least we can walk out of a restaurant.
Our society is already anti-child enough, I am not going to contribute to it.
It’s a shame we have some very bad parents today.
“Why doesn’t the pilot land and kick them off the flight...”
Well, in this case it was a transatlantic flight, but I get your point.
“A roll of duct tape would work wonders here.”
I was thinking about that too! I’ve seen videos of them duck taping unruly air travelers who are adults so why not the kids too?
If the parents complain, duck tape them!
as usual GMTA
“Sure he raises valid objections. Increasingly parents seem afraid to discipline their children. Not just airplanes but everywhere.”
Now wait a minute. Are they afraid or is this that new fangled “free range” or “gentle parenting” that these young parents are doing?
Rolls of it should be standard supplies for the flight attendants.
Proverbs 13:24 NLT
[24] Those who spare the rod of discipline hate their children. Those who love their children care enough to discipline them.
Personally speaking.....my parents cared enough.....and boy did they. 😏
We taught our kids how to behave in public at a young age and made sure they had SOMETHING to do while waiting. The consequences of acting up were not going out any more. And they liked going out.
It kept them peaceful and well behaved.
“Well, in this case it was a transatlantic flight, but I get your point.”
The kid started his crap before they were over the Atlantic. The staff had time to tell the kid to shut it or land the plane.
