Agreed. In a generic setting, America should help out but Ukraine was a Soviet satellite since at least WW2 and it really is not winnable. We should not be in a proxy war.

What happened to all the folks here who said that Russia was self sufficient. Financial war chest, stockpiles of equipment and ammunition was inexhaustible, and manufacturing capabilities sufficient to fight this war forever?
Now Russia is dependent on NK, Iran, and China for arms and manpower. Importing food and other basic necessities, war chest and Soviet legacy equipment rapidly depleting, and now needs a loan from China.
