White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reiterated on Thursday that Russia must reach either a ceasefire or a peace deal with Ukraine within the next 50 days if it wants to avoid facing "steep" tariffs and secondary sanctions, which would target countries buying oil from it.
Leavitt acknowledged that the trade between the United States and Russia amounted to only $3 billion last year but noted that it is "still a lot of money," and tariffs on such trade could motivate Russia to accept a ceasefire.
The White House press secretary noted Trump has put "many hours" into resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict and stressed he still hopes to find a diplomatic solution.

With Europe under the yokes of statism and Islam and Russia being what it is and always has been, a nuclear war between the two might solve a number of problems all at once.
Just need to make sure the USA is a neutral party at that point.
LOL!
Will the tariff be applied to the uranium we have to buy from Russia because Putin bribed Hillary to sell him our uranium assets?
We get most of our uranium from Canada, Kazakhstan and Australia.
Send in Norton
Silver is about to take off.
Perhaps. But how much of that uranium is owned by Rosatom? When we talk about Uranium One, IIRC it's about Russian owners buying uranium assets outside the U.S. but that America owned.
Russia is already heavily sanctioned. Further sanctions will mean nothing to them. They already have plenty of natural resources and China can provide them with whatever else they need. Sanctioning Russia is really sanctioning Europe from getting cheap energy. And btw Russia would appreciate getting their $300 billion back that the West is currently holding hostage.
President Trump will tariff China, India and Brazil 100% if Putin doesn’t agree to ceasefire in 50 days. That’s the meat of the threat.
“Perhaps. But how much of that uranium is owned by Rosatom? “
They have no assets in Canada or Australia.
They have been selling off their deposits in Kazakhstan.
I myself was big into silver and expect it to do great. But I cashed it all in 2 weeks ago so I could buy shares of Sellas Life Sciences which is currently under $2 but will be $20 to $40 in 6- 7 months (or sooner with a buyout) when the phase 3 trial ends. It’s as close to a sure thing as you’ll find in the stock market.
Well that’s the threat but I think it’s an empty one put out for negotiating purposes.
Putin is shaking in his boots.
What does SLS do?
The Secondary Sanctions will be pekid and and weak to avoid real harm to US business interests.

If you believe that you need to se a doctor.
Yeah, the war will be over effectively in 50 days.
Russia is getting ready to take Kiev and Odessa and once that happens, the war is over. Peace will be on Putin’s terms and that’s the end of it.
And so what they don’t care. Brazil said that they would just quit trading with United States.
India and China are committed to BRICS, so I doubt they’re gonna care either.
The only country that’s going to be hurt is the United States.
They have a cancer vaccine and another cancer therapeutic. The vaccine (currently in Phase 3) has already shown in P2 that it extended the life of those with refractory AML 3x better than the current standard of care with minimal side effects compared to what is used now that comes with myelosuppression and other nasty side effects. Their second cancer therapeutic is currently in P2 and looks just as promising. There’s a few people on the Stocktwits forum who can provide the full due diligence. Ignore the shorts on there. (it’s heavily shorted at the moment). They are keeping it under $2 because tomorrow is Opex and the market maker doesn’t want to pay out on the high number of $2 calls. It will start taking off again next week. It’s literally gonna be the next Keytruda.
