Long has there been a debate about truth, specifically, about whether or not there is one truth, or an absolute truth. How can we know?
Most of us have heard of the saying: “Just because that is your truth, doesn’t mean that it is my truth,” or some version thereof. Logically speaking, there is a serious problem with that statement, or more accurately, that entire line of thought.
Let’s look at the definition of truth:

Yes, but we cannot know it. Approaching Truth is asymptotic. We can get closer and closer, but not reach it.

Whenever somebody starts talking about “your truth” or “my truth” or “her truth” you can be sure they are talking about opinions that they want to have enforced as facts.
“Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?”
“Well no, your honor, see I told a lie right there, you have no honor.”

Ironically, a person that unequivocally answers, "No," to that question, is asserting an absolute truth, thereby impeaching their own answer.
The only possible (correct) answer to the question is, "Yes."
