Mentioned in passing on a show today....what if Hunter was selling signatures of pardons by the autopen so they couldn’t be traced to a payoff for his dad’s signature?

It’s not a digital signature that can be verified. It an image of his signature pasted into the document. Not the same thing, anybody can place it there.

I take that back. Congress uses a system called Quill for correspondence. I don’t know if it uses PKI or if the signature fingerprint ends up in the PDF.

I saw an email from Biden’s chief of staff in a video. The email came at the very end of the term-Late night. The chief of staff was replying to a list of suggested pardons and he wrote “I approve the following pardons”. He did not say the Biden approved them. That is how arrogant he was. Biden was not running the show.
Actually you can sign a PDF with a stylus or even your finger.
It is possible.
Adobe would be smart to come out with a new product - Adobe Autopen.
