Trump’s daily flip flops are common fare in foreign news. The stories always say Trump has one opinion one day and after he talks to someone else his opinion changes again.
The markets are the real loser in Trump’s indecisiveness and inability to forment long term policies.
Fifty days is kicking the can down the road to a lot of tomorrows that never come.
All the rethoric out of NATO and Trump say that Putin was given a chance to capitulate; however, NATO has never addressed Putin’s concerns or the reasons for the SMO.
NATO might eventually have to address those concerns when the SMO is over and the real war begins. Many estimates are that Russia could unleash a 90% increase in leathal operations if they went over to a war footing.
Ukraine is also being given 50 days to capitulate.
NATO has signaled to Russia that Ukraine Membership is still on the table. Thus, this will continue.
The Tomahawks were mentioned... Using American person and US controled COMSEC firing devices means that the US is going to continue to directly attack Russia. Any deployment of Nuclear Capable Missiles is an escalation not yet ordered by Trump or a US president. Russia has stated that any use of such Nuclear Capable systems against Russia or Moscow might be considered a nuclear attack and an appropriate response before they arrive might be triggered against NATO.
The ghost of Blinken is rising in the NEO-Con base about using offensive missiles against Russia again. His threats to Lavrov in Jan 22 are in part responsible for the SMO. Should Trump escalate with Nuclear Capable missiles, he will have crossed a red line that Biden himself set in direct talks with Putin. This would be an extreme provocation.
Moscow’s restraint will not hold if Trump starts firing Tomahawk’s at Moscow. This act will end the SMO outright and result in a war, no longer by US proxy.
