Linda Ronstadt is 79 today, a local "conservative" radio talk show host, Mark Davis, basically spewed 3 hours of verbal masturbation about how great she was during his show.

I'm a late boomer and found her voice annoying, flame away.

She personally chose her backing bands, and on her second tour she hired Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner, who then formed The Eagles.

First part, whole heartedly agree. On Bruce Springsteen, I disagree. I think he’s very talented and loved his music til I woke up to the charade that he represents working class. He’s an elitist and pretty much admitted during his Broadway stint that his persona has been a fraud. His politics are incoherent.

Saw her in concert once at the height of her fame in the late 70s and also on Broadway in the Pirates of Penzance. In her concert it was straight up music and no politics. Over the years it became obvious she was a leftist loon from interviews etc. If she was doing concerts today I and many here would be her target audience but the chances I would go see her today would be zero.
