Tucson icon Linda Ronstadt regains ability to speak after bout with COVID

Tucson icon Linda Ronstadt lost her capacity to speak and hear after a second bout of COVID earlier this year.

With the help of therapy and attentive, around-the-clock care, the legendary songstress has regained her speech, she recently told a high school classmate who checked in with her ahead of their 60th reunion at Catalina High School.

Though Ronstadt has regained her speech, she said her hearing loss may be permanent.

First part, whole heartedly agree. On Bruce Springsteen, I disagree. I think he’s very talented and loved his music til I woke up to the charade that he represents working class. He’s an elitist and pretty much admitted during his Broadway stint that his persona has been a fraud. His politics are incoherent.

Saw her in concert once at the height of her fame in the late 70s and also on Broadway in the Pirates of Penzance. In her concert it was straight up music and no politics. Over the years it became obvious she was a leftist loon from interviews etc. If she was doing concerts today I and many here would be her target audience but the chances I would go see her today would be zero.
