Hosea 4:6
King James Version
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
because thou hast rejected knowledge,
I will also reject thee,
that thou shalt be no priest to Me:
seeing thou hast forgotten
the Law of thy God,
I will also forget thy children.

Here are a few options for fixing the paragraph, depending on the nuance you want to convey:
Option 1 (Focus on clarity and respect):
I relate to feeling happiest on the road, in the journey between destinations. The sights along the way can be amazing, inspiring, and exciting. However, the experience of being non-binary or genderfluid isn’t comparable to a physical journey between male and female, nor is it limited to the context of a threesome. There isn’t a “road” in the same sense; rather, it’s about an individual’s internal experience of their gender identity.
Option 2 (More concise and direct):
I understand the feeling of being happiest on a journey, appreciating the amazing, inspiring, and exciting sights along the way. Yet, the concept of being gender non-conforming isn’t a literal journey “between” male and female, nor is it defined by a threesome. Gender identity is a personal experience that doesn’t follow a linear path.
Option 3 (Slightly more empathetic tone):
I can certainly relate to the joy of being on a journey, where the moments in between destinations offer amazing, inspiring, and exciting sights. However, when we talk about being “between” male and female, we’re usually referring to someone who is non-binary or genderfluid. This isn’t a physical journey or something limited to a specific situation like a threesome. Instead, it’s about an individual’s unique and valid gender identity, which isn’t a linear path.
Why these are better:
* Clarity: They directly address the problematic comparison and replace vague terms with more accurate ones.
* Respectful Language: They introduce terms like non-binary, genderfluid, or gender non-conforming, which are the appropriate and respectful ways to describe individuals whose gender identity is not exclusively male or female.
* Correcting Misconceptions: They explicitly state that gender identity is not a “journey” in the same way a physical trip is, and it’s certainly not limited to sexual contexts.
* Flow and Cohesion: The sentences are structured more logically, improving readability.
