30 new cases reported in Alberta over the weekend
Alberta has now confirmed more measles cases than the entire United States has reported this year.
The province has been battling outbreaks since March and as of noon Monday, total case counts in the province had ballooned to 1,314.
The latest update from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that country has amassed 1,288 cases this year.
"Looking at the numbers it saddens me," said Dr. Sam Wong, the president of the section of pediatrics with the Alberta Medical Association.
"I think if we had gotten to it sooner — and taken it more seriously sooner — then maybe we would not have reached this milestone where one province actually exceeds the entire case count for the United States, which has got 10 times the population as Canada."...

I suppose this is all RFK, Jr.’s fault somehow.
Grok: How should I know? Ask Tucker Carlson.
Try vetting your immigrants.... knuckleheads.
Good. Canada ought to be first at *something*.
THIRTY "saddens" him?
Get a life.......
Yep, no mention of demographic whether it’s illegals or even First Nations.
I don’t know how the First Nations people feel about vaccinations although seeing how epidemics destroyed whole Native American tribes, I’d expect they’d want to get vaccinated.
Now, now. That’s just canada reviling in another of the benefits of multiculturalism...the measles culture, microorganisms, micro aggression’s....
lol
Lol. They trusted the government’s small pox blankets.
If they knew what was good for them they’d steer far away from anything promoted to them by the Great White Father
I was thinking primarily of that.
Small pox is bad enough for white people who have built some slight natural immunity, but for people groups who have none, it was devastating.

around 4,980,652.
Headline says “Canada is winning”. I guess that was meant to be sarcastic.
LOL!
Probably the people refusing measles vaccines for their kids are fundamentalists, not first nations or immigrants. It has been a problem in other provinces also, on a fairly limited scale. Occasionally a measles outbreak begins with a traveler bringing an active case into the country. But the spread among school-aged kids is largely due to vaccine refusal on religious grounds. It’s sort of a hard core of the much larger COVID refusal — the scale expanded because a lot more people saw the COVID injections as dangerous. Some people think of the measles vaccine as a similar threat. It’s not where I draw my line but anyway, some of the speculation in this discussion was way off target.
