The Andromeda Galaxy contains roughly one trillion stars, while the Milky Way Galaxy is estimated to contain roughly 250 billion stars. If only one in a million stars had an Earth-like planet then Andromeda galaxy would have one million Earth-like planets and our Milky Way would have 250 thousand.
