Yeah I actually gave up drinking coffee for years because of drip brews- just didn’t care for the taste. I didn’t think I’d like the percolate either, but glad I took a chance with the percolator. Back to drinking it in morning.
Soda has water in it :)
There is an argument about it hydrating or not, at one point years ago, I thought the argument was over and coffee was to be considered as a consumed liquid, but looking online I see they are still arguing about it.
How much is too much? I have 2 or 3 mugs every morning and I was diagnosed with glaucoma a couple months ago.
I also use Madagascar vanilla beans, but I steep them in rum. I have a batch now that’s a year old and it’s just delicious. I put in my pancake batter, French toast, a drizzle over ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, etc. etc. Much better than store bought and much cheaper too.

I remember for years “researchers” trying to link coffee to cancer and other related horrors.
Nothing was ever found, and, in fact, the researchers kept finding more and more benefits from drinking coffee.
I think now I can drink my morning coffee in peace.
The one thing I love about the percolator (I have my mother’s old stove top Corning ware) - is the wonderful coffee aroma it distills throughout the house.
I was gifted a Nespresso coffee maker for my birthday a few years ago - but the pods have gotten more and more expensive so I usually make my own cold brew.
Now, I light a coffee candle to get that wonderful aroma around the house.
Ditto for pipe smoke, which I miss to this day...
Yep, miss the pipe smoke smell too. Always loved the smell of the unturned tobacco too from the cans.
Unburned not unturned. Uggh.
Without watching the video, what’s the skinny on instant?
A few of them...

There was an article out the other day extolling the anti aging virtues of coffee. I’m currently enjoying my second cup of a brand called Joe. The flavor is named tall dark and handsome. Yummy.
Glad to hear this!

Then why and the hell is my Nephrologist telling me I should only have one cup of coffee a day followed with a decalf Tea and then water the rest of the day, even though I’m stage 4. Don’t even talk to me about no Bourbon.
Like hearing her read her graduate thesis on coffee—she needs a good editor for the YouTube medium; but I did learn some good info and I'm glad I listened. .
I’m stage 3, almost stage 4, and was told to limit too (around 32 gfr). The reason is the am9unt,of potassium in it I think doc said (been awhile, so I might be mistaken), said a little was,ok, botmnot to drink a lot.
Thanks for the links! I do drink more diet colas than coffee. Of course they do have caffeine, but I do get the the caffeine free from time to time.
Interesting….
Did she ever help the Beach Boys?
