In AZ, we have plague, Hanta virus and Valley fever. They all leave scars on your lungs.
The prairie doggies here in Colorado also have plague.
And the treehugging commie lunatics in Boulder made them a protected species.

Speaking of Hanta virus, I wonder if anyone ever claimed the bodies of Gene Hackman and his wife. A month after they died, nobody had.
Also have the same in parts of California, it’s summer and the rodents and fleas are active. We have this happen every year, you have to be aware of the risks of the areas you go to and take proper precautions like don’t get chummy with the squirrels and make sure you don’t have rodent infections.
