United Airlines has vowed that 50% of its future pilot hires will be women and people of color by 2030—and Delta, American, and Southwest have pledged similar DEI commitments. But how will these goals affect airline standards, pilot competency, and aviation safety?
‘how will these goals affect airline standards, pilot competency, and aviation safety?’
Lots more accidents and deaths, I’ll bet.
Well Im glad Im done with flying.I will be looking at greyhound.
Why no blind pilots?
I haven’t flown in years, but the last time I did the pilot looked like he might have made a few flights to Germany or possibly Hanoi and back without landing back in the day. I felt pretty safe.
Which was it, Endeavor Air, that turned over their plane on landing? All DEI hires. All because the airline swore that they would discriminate against competence and favors quotas.
Everything I wanted to know about DEI pilots was demonstrated to me long ago by Auburn Calloway, a FEDX pilot, that was so bad he was about to be fired and almost pulled off a 9/11 type plot. I believe the 9/11 hijackers used his idea.
