I saw a claim recently that more Europeans die every year from heat stroke from lack of air conditioning than US citizens die from murder using guns.

My question is, in England, what is the difference between a “hose” and a “hosepipe”?

94.5 degrees, we’re all gunna die! It’s cycled between 62 daytime high to 97 here the past two weeks with 100% humidity. Kinda hard to “acclimate” to that when it ping pongs all over the place. No AC either.

So much of UK/Europe still without AC’s. Senior citizens suffer most.

Oddly cold kills many more than heat in Europe. Many elederly can not afford the clean energy electricity and die of hypothermia trying to save money on their electric bill. Clean energy kills!

I grew up in Nashville to parents who spoke a fair bit of Appalachian, and “hose pipe” was a thing said in our house. It’s a garden hose.

90’s in the UK is not exactly typical. They don't often experience temps like that and when they do it's always hard on them because ac is not something that's big in the UK.
