“How high must it travel to avert burning up due to atmospheric heat?”
“The engine operates at 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) above Earth’s surface, using a dual-mode detonation process.”

Re: Google
Garbage in, garbage out.
G forces are created by acceleration.
Mach 7 is a speed, not an acceleration. “At Mach 7, the G-forces experienced by an object can be up to 9G” is a nonsensical statement to my mind.

I can say this much about HF.
Their moving blankets are great all purpose items. I always keep a few around.
I’ve tried to break their Pittsburgh line tools such as ratchets and I never succeeded. They would hold up as well as any of my other brand tools.
Power tools have been 50/50. I have a $30 sawzall knockoff that’s at least 10 years old that still works and won’t quit.

Quite so! It’s getting into space craft re-entry territory at those speeds.

"Like the Concorde that went before it, it will be the elite’s toy. It won’t be practical for the same reasons the Concorde was scrapped." The Concorde is coming back as early as 2026.

Yes, in two hours. But, unfortunately, it gets hungry for more fuel in an hour.
To: butlerweave
In-flight refueling might be a serious challenge.

Until I see it operation then it’s BS like everything our of China.
Next is the statement..”if successfully integrated into commercial aircraft”
No existing commercial aircraft airframe could handle a hyper-sonic engine.

They also steal a lot of tech I see a lot of things coming out of China that are not introduced here at all. That indicates that China is doing a lot of innovation, but we are not.

I dind't know this but BOOM says "The first assembly line will produce 33 Overture supersonic aircraft annually. A planned second assembly line will double aircraft production to 66 each year."
"Overture’s order book stands at 130 aircraft, including orders and pre-orders from American Airlines, United Airlines, and Japan Airlines."
Overture, 60-80 passengers.

Sure, sure, the engine can provide sufficient thrust to propel an aircraft at 12,000 mph.
Do they have an airframe that can survive those forces/stresses? Dinna think so.
