little is known about the engine beyond a blueprint published in the peer-reviewed journal Chinese Journal of Propulsion Technology in December SCMP reports. This is from the linked article
It could very well be "vaporware."
China and the USA are similar in that researchers, businesses, tech companies, etc... all are tempted to put out exciting press-releases, with only vague ideas behind them, to attract government funding or investment capital.
