Name them. I only know one or two. Are you saying he stole everything on all the albums? He didn’t write Kashmir or Whole Lotta Love or Misty Mountain Hop or No Quarter, etc?

Elvis lost a few too. Hound Dog foe one.

The Elvis Hound Dog hit was a cover for the Big Mama Thornton version—I saw her at a blues festival and she still stung from her version being “stolen”. Elvis knew songs such as hist 1960 Are You Lonesome Tonight was a new version of the 1927 hit by Al Jolson which he learned from a record.

When people said Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love sounded a lot like Muddy Water’s version of the Willie Dixon song “You Need Love”, Willie Dixon agreed. He sued and got money and credits in an out of court settlement.

And a $45,123 settlement went for the Howlin’ Wolf song Killing Floor. Not a lot.

Elvis didn’t claim to have written Hound Dog.
