Pope Leo XIV expressed readiness on Wednesday to host the representatives of Russia and Ukraine at the Vatican for talks, according to the Holy See.
Earlier today, the supreme pontiff met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo in Italy's Lazio region. The pope also reaffirmed his support for finding a diplomatic solution to the long-standing conflict and called for the release of prisoners of war.
