They feel the indoctrination industry must survive !

Without tax help it would die cuz lots are sick of their product and they are going broke.

So it's not capitalism driving Hollywood, it's communism driving Hollywood.

Yeah, I guess it works like this. Lower taxes boost jobs but only in the Hollywood industry.

This principle apparently doesn’t work in other industries.

What clowns.....and the people who vote for them? Suckers.

So a state that is running a huge deficit in the amount of many billions of dollars is now handing off another 3/4 of a billion dollars to Hollywood. It’s kind of funny that the only industry in the state that deserves lower taxes is Hollywood. And probably some of the wacko green energy projects. The rest of the productive Industries can all go to hell.

Like labels on food Hollywood should have to show the public how and were the funding for their silly films comes from like the tax credit, money from the CCP and other places.

$750M in the film world is pennies.

There’s a dozen other states with robust film commissions and apparatus to compete with CA for film production. Hollywood is an old dry bathtub with crusty orange gray rings in it.

Hollywood is realizing what can be done with A.I.
Actors/actresses and large studio stage buildings will go the way of the Dodo bird and buggy whip.
Personally I’m looking forward to the new John Wayne movie once the rights to use his persona are agreed to by his estate.
Will be great to see so many of the Old Hollywood greats again.
Cagney, Bogart, Flynn etc..
But then I remember this is Holyweird and probably screw it up. But then again no. All that is needed is the first AI movie with a bygone great to be a big success. Then the estates of past greats will be clamoring to get on the band wagon. We may see a second “Golden Age” of Hollywood.

Sounds like socialism to me, taking from the proletariate to support the few. If studios and TV companies can afford to put out woke crap nobody wants to watch they can afford to pay their people without me being robbed.

But how much is the 3/4 Billion Dollars worth to the economy? And will other industries ask for a similar tax credit?
